As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the Registration application process, Tailte Éireann has established a dedicated First Registration and Section 49 Validation Unit in our Roscommon office.
Effective from 13 April 2026, applications affecting all 26 counties in Form 1, Form 2, Form 3, Form 3 (MSB), Form 5, in addition to all Section 49 Cases in Form 6, should be lodged in person or by post to:

The First Registration Validation Unit in Roscommon will provide an efficient and consistent validation experience for all applicants and will enable optimisation of the guides and checklists available to lodging parties to assist in preparing applications which are acceptable for Registration.
The validation process involves passing each application through a series of pre-defined checks specific to the application type. Where an application fails to meet the minimum requirements to proceed to registration, the application is returned immediately to the lodging party for amendment.
Where the minimum requirements have been met, the application will pass through the validation unit and will be placed in date of lodgement order for processing. Queries may be raised during any of the processing stages following validation.
