Guidelines for Applications for Duplicate Vesting Certificates and Amendments to Vesting Certificates
Duplicate Vesting Certificate(s)
- (a) Declaration to be completed by original applicant(s) and any other person(s), institutions, banks, solicitors offices etc. who at any time since the issue of the said Vesting Certificate had custody of same.
- Where the original applicant(s) is/are deceased the declaration must be completed by the executor(s)/administrator(s) enclosing photocopy grant/letters of administration.
- In cases where only one of the two Vesting Certificates originally issued is missing/lost/destroyed a duplicate is no longer issued. If required, registration can be made in the Registry of Deeds by lodging the available Vesting Certificate with a duly completed Form 4 and fee of €50.
- Photocopy of lease*
- Photocopy of assignment* or other deed under which the leasehold interest is held by the applicant(s). In cases of registered land, we do not require photocopy of assignment etc.
Amendments to Vesting Certificate(s)
- Original Vesting Certificate(s) must be lodged.
- A written outline of the amendment sought.
- Photocopy of lease*
- Photocopy of assignment* or other deed under which the leasehold interest is held by the applicant(s). In cases of registered land, we do not require photocopy of assignment etc.
NOTE: Items indicated* are part of the title deeds to your property. If there is a mortgage outstanding on the property these documents will be held by the lending institution e.g. bank, building society, local authority etc. If the mortgage has been repaid these documents may be held by your solicitor or bank.
