Tailte Éireann’s Property Alert Service is a free service that provides an early notification, by email and/or text message, of certain activity on a property that you are monitoring. This allows you to take prompt action if you believe the activity is unexpected.
The first time you use the service you will need to create an account on Landdirect.ie.
Please note that you cannot use your existing landdirect.ie account details to register for Property Alerts – you must create a separate account using a different email address.

About Property Alerts
- You can monitor up to a maximum of three properties. The property you wish to monitor must be registered with the Land Registry.
- A property alert will remain in effect for a period of ten years from the date of creation
- You will receive an email (please check spam inbox) to enable you to verify your email details.
- The default notification method is email. However, you can also choose to be notified by text message in your Account Settings after you register.
- To monitor activity on a particular property, simply search the map by address, folio number, Eircode etc. Once it is highlighted on the map, click the ‘Create Alert’ button on the right hand side.
- Email/text alerts are sent when applications for registration are received against a monitored property. If you receive an alert about activity that you believe is unexpected, then you should take prompt action.
- You do not have to own a property to set up an alert.
- The same property can be monitored by different people.
- Property, especially apartments, can be registered with two titles. Blocks of apartments are often owned by companies (Freehold), and the person owning the individual apartment (Leasehold). When registering for this service please choose the Leasehold title for individual apartments.
