Our archive holds rich collections dating from 1708 to present day, including property records, maps and valuation books. The records preserve the history, culture and memories of many aspects of Ireland’s past.

Tailte Éireann cares for millions of documents of current and historical importance. Our collections are in a variety of formats including maps, parchment, bound volumes, microfilm, paper and digital records.

Archive Research

Access to our archives in our Reading Rooms at two Dublin sites is strictly by appointment. Valuation records can be consulted in the Public Office Reading Room at Block 2, Irish Life Centre and Registry of Deeds records can be consulted at the Henrietta Street Office.

Search and Copy Services

We provide a range of copying and searching services relating to our collections for customers, including official searches of the Registry of Deeds and copies of valuation records.

We run an annual program of free events such as tours, lectures, and seminars. Our aim is to ensure people can access our collections and to increase public engagement and enjoyment of the historical records we hold.
