Form V2 – Application to the Chief Operating Officer of Valuation for determination of value pursuant to Section 67 (2) of the Valuation Act 2001, as amended by Section 4 of the Courts Act 2016
Any customer wishing to make an application to the Chief Operations Officer, Valuation for determination of value pursuant to Section 67 (2) of the Valuation Act 2001, as amended by Section 4 of The Courts Act 2016, please be advised that, in accordance with the Civil Liability and Courts Act 2004 (Commencement) Order (S.I. 2/2017), the circuit courts jurisdiction in property matters is now based on the market value of the property rather than it’s rateable valuation. However, where proceedings issued prior to December 28 July 2016 a valuation determined pursuant to Section 67 (2) of the Valuation Act 2001, as amended may be required.
Customer who wish to make an application for determination of value pursuant to Section 67 (2) of the Valuation Act 2001, as amended by Section 4 of The Courts Act 2016, should submit evidence of proceedings on the subject property having issued prior to 28 December 2016, via email to valinfo@tailte.ie and an application form will be issued by return.
